I’m Mark, and I’ll say it plainly: I love being an estate agent. I’ve been doing it for twenty-one years and I still enjoy it.
I came into the industry after a bad experience of my own. At 28 I sold a house through a high street agent, ended up doing my own viewings and negotiating my own deal, and heard from the agent twice before exchange. I assumed I’d picked a poor agent — then I looked into the market and found that was simply how it worked. The kindest thing anyone said about their agent was “best of a bad bunch”.
Since then I’ve helped over 13,000 sellers, but something was still missing. Sellers and buyers deserve guaranteed time with the agent they actually met and trusted — not a junior, not a rota of unfamiliar faces, and not an office that shuts at the exact moment they get home from work.
That’s why we built Happi. I take on only a small number of clients myself now, so the ones I do take on get all of me.
